OSB Woodyards
Endurance Equipment, LLC has developed processing equipment for the OSB industry that is unequaled in reduced white wood loss, barking efficiency and flaker chamber compaction. All transitions in the system flow are designed for minimal wood breakage and damage.
The Endurance Horizontal Feed System is a key factor in the overall system design. Stems are kept in horizontal position as they enter the drum, with only an 8″ drop to shell level.
Our ‘Less Lifter’ Drum shell utilizes less than 10% of the volume of lifters found in most drum designs. The scalloped infeed and outfeed shell stiffener plates aggressively lift and advance the stems horizontally.
A patented outfeed spool assembly helps separate and advance the stems as they exit the Drum shell. At the crossover between the Drum Discharge Conveyor and the Flaker Feed Conveyor, a special chain bed design provides a pathway for broken fiber to make its way to the Flaker in lieu of dropping into the waste system.
Variable speed and conveyor wall design stacks stems as they are prepared for flaking. Chamber fill efficiency is critical in OSB system performance. Endurance’s OSB System design provides the highest compaction rates, the least white wood losses and the highest degree of barking efficiency available.
Angled, small bark slots retain white wood in lieu of passing it to the waste system. Even though the slots are small, Endurance’s shell design has up to 4 times more open area for bark discharge than competitive versions.
