Flaker Feed Systems
Endurance Equipment, LLC has pioneered the use of multi-strand chain conveying systems for stem feeding of Flaker Systems. The Endurance design principle incorporates a two or three unit conveyor system to transport and stack the stems in preparation for flaking. The Drum Discharge Conveyor is constantly moving forward, pulling stems from the Drum Debarker and placing them into available openings in the Flaker Feed Conveyor.
The design of the trough and the aggressive chain configuration stacks and packs without wedging in the trough. The result is the most efficient Flaker Feed System available.
The Endurance Flaker Feeding concept can be retrofitted into existing drum systems. Usually, the existing support structure, framework and drive system may be utilized. A new chain bed would be installed in the refitted subframe. After completion, increased pocket fill percentages will result while the maintenance issues associated with typical slat bed chain systems are eliminated.
